I got a PCR testing kit and an explanation about the new pills for vulnerable people this morning. Anybody else got the same? Lynne x

We have the testing kit but no pills. I thought they'd arrive when a positive test was recorded.
when i can think of something profound i will update this.

I didnโ€™t check the envelope as Steve opened it. I misunderstood him when he explained. I didnโ€™t get pills after all. Iโ€™ll edit my first post. Thanks xx

Hello all. Myself , husband & son tested positive with PCR tests on Friday (great Christmas present!) I was called today by a doctor with the two options of the new โ€˜treatmentsโ€™. The first was to go to a local hospital to have an infusion which would last a couple of hours and the second was a 5 day course of tablets. The doctor stated that the main positive results were shown with people who had not been vaccinated and they had been trialled before the omicron variant came in, so couldnโ€™t say if they would make any difference! As all 3 of us, luckily, just have mild cold symptoms I declined both options and will just continue with paracetamol. I know I am lucky in that I donโ€™t yet have any real issues with breathing.
hope you all had a good Christmas Day. Ours was quiet and stress free but I canโ€™t wait to see the rest of my family when we are allowed back out!
