Thank you all, I just can’t help feeling like I caused it but I know you’re all right 👍 thanks 😊
Hopefully he will get better soon 👍 The good news is a care team just came to assess me on the return truck and are starting my emergency care tomorrow morning to get me up, shower and later to put me to bed 😬 so that’s a weight off my mind xx

Suefromwakey I get what you mean about Turkey, they were always doing it, it happened to us a few times, a wonderful country but don’t have the same health & safety as we do 😬

That's great news! It will be hard for you Janette, also for the carers, as you get to know what's what - Big Girl pants on and think that, without the carers washing your bits and bobs, you might be spending the day in bed, in pads. Carers have seen it all...

So happy that you'll be in your own home. Was it Social Services who organised it? 😘😘

We have what they call a rehab team here, they will come in in an emergency with carers as and when needed. Based at our local cottage hospital and accessed through the district nurses and GP.
Hope all goes well for you and your hubby.

Jeanette, also just been catching up on the forum after Christmas.
Sounds like a very stressful time but glad you have some interim care support now and wishing you both well xx

A carer i don't see very often was due to sit with me for four hours yesterday afternoon. She didn't turn up, nor did she phone me or her office.

                  The company fired her.

Oh that's awful Doug - I do hope you weren't left in a bad situation.

It begs the question of did the agancy know that she hadn't arrived, i.e., does the agency have an alert system?

                      Love and hugs xxx

Thanks Ellie. I was ok, but it meant my live in carer could go ouut only for a sort break.

This carer has been late before and usually has a plausible excuse. So I hadn't rung the office before they rang me to check. I'm impressed they took such decisive action, which was my reason for posting.
