Finding a Hotel, Guest House or Restaurant that serves puréed meals

I am 82 years old and have Progressive Bulbar Palsy. I cannot speak clearly and I have difficulty with swallowing. I want to take my wife on holiday so that she can have a rest from cooking for me. But I need somewhere that will cook and serve puréed meals for me. Has anyone knowledge or experienced Hotels etc who are willing to meet my needs? Self catering is OK but that commits her to preparing meals as one cannot successfully buy a takeaway and then blend it so I can eat it.

Sorry no idea but good luck in your search x
ALS diagnosed November 2017, limb onset. For the 4 yrs previously I was losing my balance.

I'm staying positive and taking each day as it comes.

I know there are companies that do pureed meals - got given samples from 1 one of them a while back. You could then take self catering as long as there is a micowave - buy to take to your residence. Eating out and choosing soup would otherwise be the only choice, and not all soups are smooth. Most food delivery services have ranges of food finish; often for dysphahgia patients, they go in levels; level 4 is pureed but keeps its shape, further levels must cover all eventualities. Good luck with finding diniing in choices, i know of none
Mum died with MND in 1979 – My sister and I have a wonky gene, probably inherited from mum. Reckon my MND started sometime in 2018.

Stonehengeman maybe a good B&B would be more than happy to puree food. As long as they could meet your other requirements. Sorry I dont know of specific hotels etc. 👍
Initial diagnosis 7-4-2021 'suspected MND' confirmed by 2nd opinion 4th June 2021 ALS. Began with R foot limp and lots of falls. NIV overnight. Generally weak. Mostly terrified.

          Stonehengeman Aren't you a sweetheart!!

Really, any hotel with good customer service will puree meals for guests - why not choose your favourite hotel, contact them and ask. xx

Think you are going to have to contact hotels by email in advance and make your request about your diet. You could ring a hotel chain or email them ie Warner Holidays that do a package including entertainment to see if they could meet yours and your wife’s needs. Not a recommendation just a suggestion.

Its good to have a think are there any other disability related requirements you would need as well?.
For example if you have issues with mobility .

MND association do an information sheet on holidays..it’s on line.

Hope you get the information you need .
            best wishes
            Mary

Thanks to those who have responded. Other than the PBP I am a very fit 82 year old. I have frozen puréed meals from Oakhouse Foods delivered to the house, which I eat from time to time eg when my wife wants fish and chips. I could take those to self catering or have them delivered to the self catering location. That is OK but my wife still has to cook for herself or get a takeaway.
I have been in contact with a website www.revitalise.org.uk who provide holidays for disabled people and they have indicated that puréed meals are available at their two hotel locations.
Thanks to Mary C. I will approach Warner Hotels and see if they can offer anything.

I have made a booking through Revitalise to stay at their Southport Care Home (for 'holidaymakers') for a week from 28th Feb. A week in Southport in Feb must be everyones choice! They had no other vacant dates, but it will give my wife a well earned break. I have also booked 10 nights at the Royal Victoria Hotel, Llanberis, in May, who took the trouble to respond to my enquiry after consulting with their Chef, who is confident he can provide me with what I need.
I approached 8 Hotels and only the Royal Vic responded. I approached Warner's but no response.
