Weird mouth

Does anyone else out there with bulbar onset find that their mouth is always uncomfortable? I can’t take anything by mouth any more, but despite rinsing my mouth regularly , using mouthwash etc my mouth is always sore, or just feeling uncomfortable, and weird. My tongue feels like an alien in my mouth.
Any ideas to make it more comfortable would be gratefully received . 😘

Is your whole mouth sore Lizzie - I wonder if you could you have thrush or mouth ulcers ? xx

My tongue is practically dead and I wear a lower gum shield 24/7

Hi Ellie. Yes the whole of my mouth feels sore. I thought of thrush but there is no white coating on my tongue. Could it still be Thrush? Xx

I don't know Lizzie, any white spots or areas under your tongue or inner cheeks? I'm sure, like me, going to the GP, Dentist or even to the Pharmacy is an ordeal, but it might be easily treated and you'll be tickety boo in no time, or maybe you could get help and do a video call or even have someone go to the Pharmacy with photos?

Get it checked out, don't suffer - it might just be a matter of a few days using Daktarin oral gel. xx
