The worst pain I have is my left big toe. My neurologist thinks it's gout and the palliative doc is visiting on Thursday. I can't wait to see him. π’πππxx

π¬ I believe gout can be very painful.
Thursday seems a long time to wait in pain, can the doctor come any earlier?
I know you don't have the proverbial bag of frozen peas, but have you an ice pack or ice cubes (wrapped in a tea towel) to put on the toe? And, if you can, take ibuprofen around the clock.

Matthew I sympathise, Albert has big toe gout on occasion and is given Naproxen pain relief which lasts longer than Ibuprofen so allegedly you need to take them less, if they prescribe it though ask for anti sickness tabs as these tabs notoriously cause nausea,
You can get gout anywhere - I have had a session with Uric Acid (Gout) Kidney Stones - that was hell on earth and I was hospitalised with it - eat low purine food and keep off sea food,
Husband Albert diagnosed PMA Feb 21
