I have always been someone who is always on the go and sewing has been a huge part of my life - I make my own clothes and made both my daughters wedding dresses. After my diagnosis, I was worried I would lose the ability to do this and I am well aware that at some point I will. However, this weekend I have managed to make 4 dresses for my granddaughters and turned up three dresses for my daughter in law. So feeling really pleased with myself.
Added to that we are in the final stages of renovating our house which we bought last September. I have always been fully involved doing plastering, tiling and decorating. We have had to strip all of the woodwork in the house and the hall has been the worst to do. My hubby and son have done a lot of the work but today I decided that I was doing the skirting boards. It took twice as long as normal but I did it and now they are all ready to paint before the new carpet is fitted on Friday.
sorry for the rambling post but I am so proud of myself and whilst there have been challenges (getting up off the floor was fun🙈) I did a weekend of almost normal. MND might win the war but this weekend I won the battle 😂
