    Never a dull moment…

Woke up last night, with excruciating bowel pain. Went to the toilet, and proceeded to fall unconscious and smack my forehead on the lip of the shower. Came to very slowly and totally out of it. My hubby heard the “thump” when I fell and came to help. Then proceeded to have painful diarrhea. Went back to bed and woke up this am with bloody mucus diarrhoea. Just went to GP and he thinks I might have C. difficile…? Or viral hepatitis…? Now waiting for blood work and stool sample tests to take home. Strict instructions to call 911 if I pass out again.
Ugh 😩 I am SO tired!!?! Just got over COVID and now this. My MND symptoms are worsening by the day. I just want to curl up in a ball and wake up from this nightmare!

Sorry to read this - a few folk pass out on the toilet for various reasons.
I have Crohn's Disease, which adds a few challenges, but have transcended any 'dignity concerns' to the point where (by my own consent and a decent Gastroenterologist), routine colonoscopies every few years have additional medical staff in the procedure room for their training and it looks like an alien abduction film 'probing' scenario (first time checks are far more considerately and sensitively and gently managed).

Never put off or worry too much about having things like this assessed, early intervention is practical, reassuring and well worth getting checked.
2020: odd symptoms. Nov 2021: Hand atrophy.. Mar 2022: Second arm atrophy - Confirmed Apr 2022: MND.
Also Crohn's Disease from 2005ish. (Hi, I'm Dan in Cheshire)...

Diagnosis confirmed as atypical ALS Jan 2022 (age 46) after several years misdiagnosed.

Symptoms began in left foot 2017. Now widespread. Powerchair user, useless left arm and clumsy right hand but generally positive!
