        Hi, I'm Eddie.
Started with wobbly left ankle in Nov 2020. Diagnosed 22 Oct 2021, confirmed by 2nd opinion 4 days later.
Full time powerchair user. Overnight NIV. PEG'ed but still eating. Voice banked but still talking.
Still wondering what the future will bring.

I find I am suddenly getting sudden heatrush up to my head sometimes now, and struggled to quickly take off a layer of clothing , but have never fainted. It has reminded me of menopausal times long past! X
Diagnosed July 2020, ALS bulbar onset. PEG and ventilator (mainly at night), and pretty poor speech, but legs still about functioning!

Hot flashes could be a symptom of something else. Maybe see your Dr?

Patw I've fainted due to low BP, not ALS related, but I def think you ought to tell your GP. xx

Patw Re the hiccups: they could be because you're swallowing more air, maybe it's reflux (any burning?) or because your swallow reflexes aren't behaving as normal.

Any likely contenders? Do you often cough/aspirate? xx

I read somewhere about hot flushes and covid jabs. And yes it did remind me of menopause and I've been getting them too which is weird. 🥵
