    Mnd and covid

Phoned 111 after a bad night breathing and coughing tested positive for covid. Had a quick chat with 111 who said that they would get a clinical nurse to phone later. I may be able to have some anti viral medication. Has anyone gone through this?

I just had COVID for the 3rd time (first got it teaching elementary school in Nov 2020, then in July 2022 and just now at end of February)…
I didn’t have access to anti virals. They are difficult to get your hands on here in Canada. Most recent bout has really messed up my breathing and have been sleeping all propped up. Getting a BiPAP later this week as a result.
Hopefully you can get anti virals. I know you need to get them within 5 days of testing positive

Stevedp Yes, I have taken antivirals, Steve, and they made a huge difference to me.

Def take them and start asap.

        How are you feeling? xx

I had to have my antivirals intravenously because of a clash with my current drugs and the tablet form. I felt well again after 24 hours 👍

Still waiting for the ambulance 111 ordered at 1.05pm. They said I needed to go in for the anti viral medication. Phoned 999 6pm they said they are aware of request, then went through the questionnaire, told me a ambulance would come out but couldn't promise when.

Stevedp Can't you get the tablets, or are they still hard to get in the UK?

Hope you're not waiting long, that's the last thing you need. xx
