    Tens machine

    Hello all,

Has anyone any experience of a tens machine and if so did it work. It sends electrical pulses to the area of the body that is affected. I was given one to try by my physio as I have constant pain in my left leg from the hip to my knee. The medical people say it resulted from me having twice received an epidural following my fall last May. Apparently you can experience nerve damage after this procedure.

I would be interested and appreciative if you wise owls can offer experience/advice.

Hi Barry,, I've used a tens machine before when I was pregnant,, and it worked not too bad... Can't say I know from and mnd point of view whether it would do the same... Hopefully someone on here might have experienced it... Would be interesting to know if this works for you... My sister had 2 epidurals recently and they caused nerve damage and she is in alky of pain with this... So might very well mention the idea of a tens machine if you do decide to get it and it works.... It's definitely worth giving it a try ...... Katrina x

      Thanks Katrina,

It's early days but I will let you know how I get on after a few weeks. Bye the way I'm way too old to get pregnant.
