Hi Lizzie,
I have had an annual flu jab since I was diagnosed and had no side effects. As others have suggested it is a good idea to check with your GP first. My husband has one too because he's my carer.

Unless your GP says there are medical contraindications, do have the jab Lizzie.
We will never know, but this year of all years it could save our lives.

I value your view too Matthew! The jury’s out on this one but I respect your thoughts. Hope they’ll help me decide.

Thanks Ellie. That’s pretty much what I thought, but this is the first time since my diagnosis so I value your view. 😊

I think it would be even more important for us to get the flu jab this year Lizzie - it's recommended we get it annually and although it's widely given, there are some containdications, for example, certain meds, allergy but your GP, pharmacist or nurse can advise. I'm certainly getting my jab this year as usual.
There is also a once off pneumonia jab which people with MND are advised to get.
Love Ellie.

Flu jabs
Just wondered if anyone has had any advice about whether or not to have a flu jab this year. With the COVID situation it would seem to be very sensible, but are there any contraindications for those of us with MND. I’d appreciate your thoughts.
