It's unreal !that an episode of Quincy M.E is !still! relevant 40!years later, in the USA they have orphan drugs development, but big pharma has no interest in developing a drug if there's no obscene payback.

The Health Minister put great store in the things that we do receive.

    Grid.
    Direct Payments or funded care.
    Multi-disciplinary support.

It would be interesting to know how the Health Minister thinks we should make progress? She didn't explain.

The sooner we accept that we are merely part of the herd the happier we will be 😉🤭😄😁xx

I wish I knew why some illnesses are more worthy of funding than others. Especially when the illness is untreatable/terminal. Shouldn’t that make it move up the priority list ?
Whilst I wouldn’t wish it on anyone I can’t help thinking that if those who make the decisions could walk in our shoes ( or sit in our wheelchairs ) for even a day, their decisions may be different.
I listened to the debate too, and despite all the efforts of those supporting our cause, was left feeling that , in the great scheme of things, we are of little consequence. Our fate has been decided, therefore why spend money on us, present or future. Lizzie

I listened to the debate yesterday and was very disappointed with the Ministers response. In essence we are providing general funding and will not provide specific funds for MND. 😢
