There have been a few trials over the years, while not necessarily traditional 'implants', it does involve stimulation - I remember some excitement aover a trial soon after I was diagnosed but it came to nothing...

There is also a robotic arm or two being developed, but I suspect you'd need a lottery win if they ever came to market!!

Does anyone on the forum know if there is, or has been, any research into electronic implants which would be used to stimulate movement in arms?

The deterioration in my arms appears to be speeding up and a thought popped into my head about robotic arms.
