This is a fascinating multi-referenced research article (meta analysis?) from 2020, regarding inflammation and ALS, including reference to autoimmune illnesses and various processes and citations.
It's an area that particularly interests me, due to a pre-existing (15+) years inflammatory / autoimmune illness and a positive attitude to any areas where research overlaps.
Although NICE Guideline NG42 has a positive section regarding research, it doesn't specifically mention research around co-morbidities. I do hope there are a sympathetic range of researchers and patients out there where appropriate.
