Apitherapy

My husband is having acupuncture sessions at the moment. There isn't much of a noticeable improvement, but maybe it's stabilising the symptoms.

Anyway, the clinician mentioned that I might like to look up apitherapy on the net. I have, and I'm not sure about it. It's to do with injecting bee venom. The clinician said he wouldn't charge us extr for this, so I don't think he's money-grabbing.

Anyone heard of this?

I strongly suggest you discuss any alternative therapy with your MND Consultant before embarking on it.

I hadn't heard of apitherapy, but Wikipedia suggests that the likelihood of adverse reactions is high.

By "Clinician" do you mean the person doing Nigel's acupuncture?

Anyway, bee venom therapy isn't proven to do anything.

Trials were done on mice and, scaling up to humans, would need the therapy to deliver the equivalent of 70,000 bee stings 2x a week.
