The Oxford Participation & Activities Questionnaire: a survey of people with MND

Determining the effectiveness of the Oxford Participation and Activities Questionnaire.

Helping keep people with MND active and participating in daily life is of paramount importance. The Oxford Participation and Activities Questionnaire (Ox-PAQ) is a patient-reported outcome measure designed to assess participation and activity in patients experiencing a range of health conditions. It is used in clinical trials in the evaluation of interventions where the main focus is on the improvement or maintenance of a person's participation and activity. This study aims to find out how well the Ox-PAQ can gauge health changes in people with MND.

    What does taking part involve?

Taking part will involve completing an online survey on two separate occasions, at the start point (Survey 1), and again three months later (Survey 2). Participants will follow a link to complete the first survey and will be asked to provide their email address at the end. Their email address will be retained so the research team can send them a link to the survey again three months later. Each of the surveys may take about 10-15 minutes to complete.

    Who can take part?
    • People living with MND
    • Residents of the UK and English speaking
    • Aged 18+
All participants must have access to the internet to be able to take part in the study.
