    Sequence when viewing posts

I would be interested to know what sequence forum members use to view posts. I cannot seem to find a route That gets me straight to posts made since my last visit to the forum/first unread post.

I use Today's Posts as my first port of call. It has a last unread post icon to the left of the thread name.

    What do others use?

    Love Ellie.

Like Ellie I go to today’s posts and then select latest activity. I’m not sure if this works if you occasionally visit the site but I check in daily.
I’m going to do this even if it kills me!

Barry, in Today's Posts, there is a small icon (I've put an arrowto the icon in the photo for you) which, if you click on that, brings you the first unread post made in that thread since your last visit - no need to then click on Latest Activity when you're in the thread and it's in chronological order too.

        Hope this helps.

          Thanks Ellie,

I’m now getting used to the new forum but there are a few issues with the system not working in a user friendly way with my iPad. Less recognition of common words and abbreviations.

            Hi Barry,

Sorry to hear you're still experiencing a few issues on your iPad.

We are aware that it appears the new version of the forum isn't very well supported by some older iPad models, however if you can let us know what problems you're having, we can have a look to see if we can fix any of them.

            Thanks,

            Forum Admin.

              Hello admin,

my iPad is a recent model 3 version 13.5.1
as you’re noting the new design forum doesn’t auto select capitals when starting a new line.
i realise that this is not a major issue but it requires 1 more key depression and this is not an issue on any other platform.

I sympathise Miranda. It has taken a bit of getting used to.

Like Ellie, I use Today's Posts then the tiny icon to the left. This is very small - even smaller on a phone - and dwarfed by the page icon to its left. Admin - could it be enlarged please?

Hi Ellie and others. I tend to click on ‘today posts‘ but sometimes ‘new posts.’ On my mobile I’ve not noticed an icon on the left. Maybe it’s so small. I click on the title of the posts. I’m slowly getting used to the new system. Love Lynne x

Doug Carpenter Does the phone version of the Forum have that little Go To First Unread Post icon on the Today's Posts list? If so, can you please post a screenshot to show Lynne.

                        Thanks so much.

Yes it does. Just the same. But as I pointed out to Admin earlier, it's very small.

I've taken a screenshot but not sure how to attach it here.

                            Thanks Doug.

I think even a 5yo might have trouble accurately tapping that icon never mind someone with manual dexterity issues 😣 Know your market, eh 🤨

Lynne, are you able to tap the icon?

                            Love Ellie.

Thanks for posting the screenshot Doug and thanks for the handy hints Ellie,

I am slowly getting used to the new format and am no longer missing posts.( That sounds bonkers because if I'd missed a post how would I know ?)

The dropdown icons are tricky though and my fingers are Okish. Must be very hard for those with dexterity issues or eye gaze users.
