Message Quota

Morning team

I’m trying to PM a couple of members but I get a message saying can’t send because they have reached their message quota. This seems to fit with with other posts on the subject of file size. Can you explain how one would know they have reached their quota, what is the quota number, how would someone fix this.

Go into message centre. On the left side go into sent. Select the messages you don’t want to keep then select delete. The go into deleted and select all the messages and click delete. This permanently delete the selected messages

Bowler Phil, I previously asked about max number of PMs in relation to this version of the Forum, this is the reply Admin_MND gave:

"Within our new version of vBulletin individual posts and replies are not counted the same way as previously, it now counts only topics. The amount of topics you can have ongoing at one time is 500 and a topic is just an ongoing conversation with someone. The reason for this change was to allow for the new Messenger feature and by counting topics and not individual messages each user can send a lot more messages without worrying.
vBulletin have also said you will receive an email notification when and if you ever approach the 500 quota."

And just for you, Phil, I counted all my PMs and individual replis within each PM and here are the results:

Inbox 47
Sent 45
Total replies within those 19 PMs is 155

Therefore, I can only conclude that each "reply" is counted twice, in and out, that's the only way I am over the 500 - the PM limit is not 500 PMs, but 500 individual components? But I didn't have close to 500...

I'll get deleting...
