How do I quote all or part of an earlier message along with the member's name?

Using just an Android phone screen.

Doug Carpenter Sorry I can't help you on this one Doug, unfortunately I'm not familiar with the phone version of the forum, hopefully you will get an answer soon.

I presume you can't see any little pen, quotation marks, flag or thumb up mini icons representing edit, quote, flag and like near any of your posts as you do on the laptop/tablet version? (obviously edit would only show on your own posts)

I don't know if by "along with the member's name", you mean as I've tagged you at the start of this post? To do that, type @, immediately followed by the user's name - you should get predictive text options. xx

I pressed the quote button that is on the bottom right of every message box

Where there are 3 buttons/boxes

1. quote
2. flag
3. Like

I don't know if it is the same on the phone.

As DeeH says.....via android phone next to where the like button is on a post there are three dots ....one says quote....click on that Doug Carpenter 😉

How do I quote all or part of an earlier message

If you only want to part quote, just delete unnecessary text, making sure to keep both [quote boxes], one at the start of the text and one at the end. xx
