This is probably staring me in the face but…….

I cannot find the option button in my settings to automatically send me to the end of a thread rather than a start.

What I mean is…..if I go into a big thread it is automatically page 1 of the thread that I land on, I then have to type the page number to get to the last page which is a bit of a pain. Is there a setting to open a thread and it automatically takes me to the latest post?

….really sorry if this is right in front of me but I cannot see it 👀

It's the white arrows in the blue circle, on the left hand side of the thread title, took me a while to work it out too.
Started limping 2017, diagnosed August 2021. Wheelchair user and reduced shoulder and hand function. Trying to be positive 😺.

Yep, it's a tiny icon which means Last Unread Post on a particular thread.

This screenshot shows where it is, arrow points to it (kinda, sorta at least!):

Pipped at the post by Tabbycat 👍👍

Still, it's good to have both phone and PC/tablet screenshots. xx

The problem with using my phone is that little icon is so small; that combined with my rubbish coordination means I often miss it and stab the wrong bit with my finger. I end up having to scroll through to the end anyway!

Plus, most of us have dexterity issues, use head tracking or eye gaze, so hitting that teeny icon can be difficult and frustrating 😱😱

And no, it can't be made bigger unfortunately, I have asked... xx

MNDConnect why not add an option in settings to open all threads at the most recent post rather than the original post? I have seen plenty of forums with this option as not everyone wants to scroll through old chat?

JamesW James, do you use the 'Today's Posts' as your starting place??

That way, you just get active threads and, whilst we can't just click on the thread name and it jumps to the last unread post (as it does on various other forums), we can click on that little icon discussed above, to bring up the first unread post made since we last looked at that thread. xx
