    Balance

    Hello all,
    As you know I posted the other day asking for reassurance. I would like to respectfully ask how your balance issues started/ manifested. I know the start of my problem , whatever it is, was a fall due to vertigo. I still have vertigo, but I'm equally concerned as I haven't been able to walk properly for the last few weeks.( All MRI's and scans are clear.) This is due to the fact that I don't seem to be able to feel the ground with my left foot, it's as if it goes through the floor if that makes sense. It feels like my right leg is longer than my ( dodgy ) left and I feel like I'm going to topple over. I do have intermittent pins and needles in the dodgy foot which . I did see a nurse practitioner yesterday for a separate issue who did my strength tests which were fine. I'm just going out of my mind with the twitches and the worry of not being able to walk in what I feel is a safe manner. I now have my appointment through to see my neurologist in a fortnight, so hopefully I will get some much needed answers by then. Thank you. X

    Carrie, I think your anxiety over MND is in danger of getting worse and worse so I wonder if it'd be a good idea to phone the MND Helpline and chat to someone about your fears? See the tab near the top of the page for details.

    Love Ellie.

      Hi Currie;

      See your GP and explain your troubles and get a urgent OT appointment to see if any equipment might help you be safer.

      Love Terry
