    Hi everyone!

    Hi all,

My mother in law has been suffering from MND for the past 8 years. It is difficult to see her lose her ability to move and speak. She has also become more emotional and difficult to understand. Hope to get to know the MND journey of others and exchange experiences in this forum.

    best regards,
    Hassan

            Hi Hassan,

Hope this forum can be of some help.
Is your MIL getting any help from health professionals ?Is she getting help with some sort of communication aid? Not able to speak or move is enough to make anyone emotional.

It would be useful for you to share what help your MIL currently has.

There are all sorts of communication aids and if she hasn’t got something to help her then this might be a starting point. So has your MIL has speech and language team involved?
MND association has information on many issues that may occur due to MND and who to contact if needed.

            Best. Wishes
            Mary
