    Hi Zowzie,

    Welcome to the forum.

    I'm sorry to hear that your Dad has passed away. I hope that you have support from family and friends at such a sad time.

    I understand, from reading information on the MNDA website, that an increase creatine kinase in the blood is an indication of muscle breakdown which could be due to MND - but I am not aware of a link between MND and vitamin b levels.

    I have posted a link to further details, below. (At the end of the webpage 'What is MND?', there are dropdowns to click on including 'Can MND be inherited?' and 'Which tests are included for MND?')

    Best wishes

    Hi Zowzie and welcome to the forum;

    Sorry to hear about your dad.

    If there's no family history of Mnd it is unlikely that you will get it.

    You can get tested for some of the common genetic link genes.

    Best wishes, Terry

    Don't know about vitamin B levels.

    Hi , My Dad was diagnosed only a short time before he died, im wanting to find out more about the possible genetic link. Ive recently been told high levels in blood tests of vitamin B can be an indicator of cells not absorbing properly and have shown to be linked to MND, and wanted to find out more thankyou
