    Hi lindylou1422 and Shaun,

Our Act to Adapt campaign aims to make home adaptations fairer and faster for people with MND right across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

We recently set up five local campaigns including one in Bedford to test out how we can best improve things in other areas too. We want to gather experiences from people with MND in the Bedford area so that they are at the centre of the campaign and our conversations with the council.

In September, we'll be launching lots of resources for our volunteers to help them set up their own local campaigns in other areas too. You can find out more about Act to Adapt here: https://www.mndassociation.org/get-i.../act-to-adapt/

    Hello admin
have not got that far yet and not in Bedford, but have to ask; why Bedford specifically, when all councils have there own interpretation and it’s a complete lottery, especially if you don’t claim universal credit

I dont know about Bedfordshire - as each council seem to be able to determine how they manage the grant, so its not universal. In Dacorum, Hemel Hempstead as I stated on another post - they make it simple (for themselves) - if you are on any amount of universal credit, (even if it were a £1 top up) you get it all without any cost to you, and if you are not - you get nothing! . I dont agree with this system, but it makes the administration easy for them
