Have you seen our pocket sized booklet to support discussions with health and social care professionals?

The information in the booklet is taken from the NICE guidelines on MND, which provides recommendations about appropriate treatment and care, covers the assessment and management of MND, and aims to improve care from the time of diagnosis. It stresses yours and your carer’s rights to be involved in discussions and make informed decisions about your care.

Topics include diagnosis, organising your care, psychological and social support, changes to thinking and behaviour, muscle problems and exercise, equipment and adaptations, communication, nutrition and tube feeding, saliva, breathing, non-invasive ventilation (NIV), coughing, and planning for end of life.
